Moreover, let’s not forget that she headlined a magnum opus Padmaavat which made record breaking business at the box office. This cemented her position as the queen of Bollywood even more. But regardless of being a successful public personality, she also is a typical elder sister to Anisha Padukone and shares a very close knit bond with her. On work front, Deepika has not yet announced any project after Padmaavat except for Vishal Bharadwaj’s gangster biopic based on life and times of Sapna Didi, the Mumbai mafia queen. The movie is postponed because her co-star Irrfan Khan fell ill suddenly. We hear she is waiting for content oriented film which will give her a scope to show her mettle as an actress.
